Surfaces and Openings

Defining Surfaces

Use the New Rectangular Surface button in the toolbar to create a new area, the boundary of which you want to define with lines in the graphic.

In the "New Surface" dialog box, you can set a thickness and a material for the surface. After confirming with "OK", click the individual lines in the graphic that delimit the surface. The surface is then displayed automatically and you can select the next lines to delimit a new surface. Right-click to finish the input. The images below show you which surfaces of the building were created and which materials were used.

Opening

To create new openings, such as windows or doors, use the toolbar. If you select the "Graphically" option, click the individual boundary lines in the graphic between which an opening is to be located, as when creating the surfaces. Then, insert an additional surface made of the material of the outer surface into the arches.
