FAQ 002445 EN 20 February 2019

Markus Baumgärtel General RFEM

In the construction of the FE network, I have made use of the function "stratified network", in order to create as homogeneous a network as possible with equal aspect ratios. Although the opposite faces are the same, no layered FE mesh is created.

Answer

A layered volume network, with a uniform distribution, can only be created for volumes where the opposite surfaces are defined exactly the same. It is also important to ensure that the lines contained in the surfaces are correct and that there are no duplicate lines.

It therefore makes sense to use the geometry of the structure with the function Extras> Model control> Check overlapping lines again.
