Orthotropic Material
Video
First Steps with RFEM
Description
In this video you can see how the orthotropic and isotropic materials can be defined via the material thickness type in RFEM 6. Orthotropic material describes a material behavior where on a 2D surface a higher stiffness in x-direction of the shell compared to the y-direction of the shell can be defined. For 3D solids it is also possible to define a different material behavior in z-direction.
