Bent on Destruction, USA

Bent on Destruction is an online game developed by Impulse Control, a company based in the United States. It shows in an entertaining and realistic way how structures react to dynamic forces. Players interact with models that were developed using RFEM to ensure realistic physical behavior.

The goal of the game is to defeat opponents using limited shots. This is achieved by destroying their buildings to unlock special attacks and power-ups. Seismic simulations are available in sandbox mode and Virtual Reality (VR) is supported.

Dlubal RFEM models were used to create the destructible buildings in the Unity game engine. The structural members were modeled in RFEM and exported as an IFC file. After import, the assigned masses, stiffnesses, and load-bearing capacities form an assembly described by rigid-body dynamics. The joint limits are checked frame by frame for each time step.
