The primary skeleton features four main frames, each composed of three vertical columns supporting two pitched lattice girders with spans of 22 m (72.2 ft) and 12 m (39.4 ft). In this configuration, a central common column supports both roof sections. A fifth frame, consisting of two columns and a single 22 m (72.2 ft) span roof girder, completes the primary structure. The bay spacing between frames varies from 3.0 m to 6.67 m (9.8 ft to 21.9 ft).
The warehouse's ridge height is 10.2 m (33.5 ft), while the eaves height is 8.9 m (29.2 ft), with a roof pitch of 6°. Between the central columns, a double X-bracing system provides lateral stability, complemented by a dedicated roof bracing layout. The gable ends are equipped with vertical studs to support the infill wall panels, while the secondary steelwork consists of roof purlins.
The roofing consists of insulated "Roof" sandwich panels with a rock wool core, comprising a 50 mm (2 in) insulation layer plus 40 mm (1.6 in) corrugated sheeting. The perimeter infill walls are clad with insulated "Wall" sandwich panels featuring a 100 mm (3.9 in) rock wool core.
Structural Analysis and Design
The structure was modeled and analyzed using RFEM 6, Dlubal’s finite element software for 3D structural analysis. Wind loads on the building envelope were determined using RWIND 3.
