AnswerIn the global selection, you can select the chapters that you want displayed in the printout report. AnswerThe result data can be prepared using the selection field Specific. It is possible to limit the printout report to the results of certain load cases or load combinations.
AnswerThe default settings of the printout report are based on the default printer saved in Windows. When creating a new printout report, the default paper size of the default printer is used.If a paper size of less than A4 is set for the default printer, texts are displayed overlapping with the preset font size (see Figure 01)In the Current Printout Report, you can adjust the page size using the 'Set Printer ...' option in 'File' (see Figure 02).One possibility to change the default setting is to change the properties of the default printer or to select a different printer as the default printer (see Video).
AnswerIn the navigator of the printout report, some chapters are marked with a red pin. This chapter starts a new page.If you remove the pin you will not get any space on your sheet, and the chapters will be moved together.
When printing a graphic in the printout report, you can select the position of the color scale in the ‘Color Scale’ tab. Furthermore, you can adjust the size of the color scale in the same dialog box. If the 'No Color Scale' checkbox is deactivated (Figure 1), it is displayed in the graphic in the printout report.
If a graphic has already been inserted into the printout report without a color scale, it is possible to display the color scale retroactively. To do this, right-click the picture. Then, select the properties in the shortcut menu (Figure 2) to open the 'Color Scale' tab. Here, it is also possible to edit the position and the size of the color scale.
In this case, the reason for four result lines (see Fig. 01) is that a minimum and a maximum including the associated remaining internal forces are output for each selected internal force.
- First line: Numerical maximum of Vz (3.54 kN) with corresponding internal forces
- Second line: Numerical minimum of Vz (0 kN) with the corresponding internal forces
- Third line: Numerical maximum of My (0 kNm) with corresponding internal forces
- Fourth line: Numerical minimum of My (-12.37 kNm) with corresponding internal forces
The printout report provides no way to document used parameter lists and formulas.
However, the parameter list and formulas can be exported to Excel by selecting File → Export. To do this, select the corresponding check boxes in the 'Formulas and Parameters' dialog section of the 'Export Tables to Microsoft Excel - Settings' dialog box (Figure 1).
The export of the parameter list and formulas is also available in the ‘Export Table’ dialog box (Figure 2), which can be opened using the Excel button in the toolbar of the relevant table.
The Excel tables could then be added to the printout report as a text block, for example. This is demonstrated in the video.
In general, we recommend using the English program interface if you want to create a printout report in English. Thus, the most should be displayed in English. However, this does not refer to terms previously created in German. These would have to be changed manually.
AnswerThe content of the printout report can be changed in the 'Printout Report Selection' dialog box.
In the opened printout report, use the menu Edit → Select, the corresponding toolbar button, or the Printout Report Context Menu (Figure 1) to open the dialog. You can also use the context menu of the Project Navigator - Data to open the dialog box without having to open the printout report (Figure 2)
In the global selection, it is possible to select the chapters that you want to appear in the printout report (Figure 3). When having deactivated the checkbox, the corresponding detail register disappears.
In the Model Data, Load Cases, and Combinations, Loads and Results tabs, you can select the corresponding tables in the 'Tables to Display' dialog section (Figure 4).
Furthermore, you can delete chapters in the open printout report by using the context menu. To do this, select the corresponding chapters and then select the 'Remove from Report' command in the context menu (Figure 5). To insert the chapter(s), use the dialog box 'Printout Report Selection'.
AnswerAfter opening the PDF file, the security setting for 3D content from Adobe is active. They have to be activated (see Figure 01). After familiarizing yourself with the document, just click into the model area (see Figure 02).

Wind Simulation & Wind Load Generation
With the stand-alone program RWIND Simulation, wind flows around simple or complex structures can be simulated by means of a digital wind tunnel.
The generated wind loads acting on these objects can be imported to RFEM or RSTAB.
“Thank you very much for the useful information.
I would like to pay a compliment to your support team. I am always impressed how quickly and professionally the questions are answered. In the industry of structural analysis, I use several software including service contract, but your support is by far the best.”
