The design conditions for the ceiling of the ground floor can be specified directly in the editing dialog box, provided that the "Design Properties" are activated there. You can open the dialog box by double-clicking the surface.
Concrete Durability
In the "Concrete Cover" tab, specify the exposure classes and concrete cover in an extra dialog box that opens when editing, where you can adjust the settings. The definition of "concrete durability" is only necessary for the design according to EN 1992, so that the program can automatically apply the concrete cover, for example. This type is not available for any of the other design standards. It is then necessary to manually define the concrete cover for each structural component.
Surface Reinforcement
In order to use an effective depth in the calculation, you need to create a surface reinforcement. You can do this in the tab of the same name via .
Enter the longitudinal and transverse reinforcement of the basic reinforcement with a distance of 0.1 m and a diameter of 10 mm, then click "OK" to confirm.
In the "Design Configurations" tab, you can edit the design limit values of the ultimate and serviceability design checks.
Deflection
Finally, define the specifications for a deflection analysis. Since the walls with the slab resting on them can also deform, the displacement in the design should refer to the "parallel surface at the point of minimum nodal deformation". As an alternative, you can select a user-defined plane or the undeformed structure as a reference. The span corresponds to 6 m, which is one rib long, and you can also take it from the graphic.
