Design of Arched Structure of Tennis Court Cover

The subject of the thesis is "Design of Arched Structure of Tennis Court Cover." The thesis presents two concepts of a structure, and then, on the basis of simplified calculations, one of them is selected for detailed design. Using the concept of a curved trapezoidal sheet, the purlins, bracing, and the arch truss as well as the selected connections were designed.

The FEA model of the truss was described parametrically, and the shape and cross-sections of the were designed using the genetic algorithm. The truss geometry was verified by using detailed calculations and analysis of buckling shapes. Furthermore, there was a parametric BIM model of the truss created, linked to the FEA model. This model was used to create the drawing documentation. The thesis presents an algorithm for the truss design and describes the advantages and disadvantages of using parametric models.
