This master thesis utilizes RFEM to evaluate the structural behavior of traditional timber framed structures mainly used for ornamental purposes in coffered ceiling of churches and historical buildings. Several model types only with members but also only with solids were developed to deeply understand the load transfer, strength and deformation of the system.
