Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Customer Support 24/7
AnswerIf a user-defined panel has already been created, this color scale is displayed in the Display Properties tab of the 'Printout Report' tab in 'Results' -> 'Palette'. If you set it as the default, the graphics in the report are updated automatically.
AnswerNo, that is not possible. The report can not be opened or managed via the COM Interface. The only thing that can be done is to access the number of created reports in a list.It is possible to access the report templates. This is explained in the following FAQ. However, this can not be controlled by the COM Interface of RFEM/RSTAB, but by a general Windows functionality.
AnswerThe speed of the printout report depends primarily on the amount of data to be printed. If many pages are printed, a delay is expected. Also, the number of graphics to be printed and in particular the graphic resolution play a crucial role. When printing on a DIN A4 format, it makes little sense to print the graphics with the maximum resolution (5000 x 5000 pixels), especially since this compared to the standard resolution (1000 x 1000 pixels) requires a 25-fold file size. When working in the printout log, the printer driver that is set as the default in the operating system's Control Panel is mainly accessed. If these are outdated or faulty, this can also lead to delays. In this case, it makes sense to choose a different printer than standard. In particular, virtual printers such as PDF24 usually lead to a significant increase in performance.
AnswerYou can define new templates by selecting on the printout report menu:
- Settings/ Printout Report Template/ New
- Settings/ Printout Report Template/ New from Current Printout Report
In the "Printout Report Selection" dialog box, specify the contents. Then, specify the name for the new template.
The printout report template is saved in the file RSTABProtocolConfig.cfg or RFEMProtocolConfig.cfg. You can find it in the master data folder of RSTAB or RFEM.
- C:\ProgramData\Dlubal\RSTAB 8.xx\General Data
- C:\ProgramData\Dlubal\RFEM 5.xx\General Data
Copy this file and replace it on the target computer.

Wind Simulation & Wind Load Generation
With the stand-alone program RWIND Simulation, wind flows around simple or complex structures can be simulated by means of a digital wind tunnel.
The generated wind loads acting on these objects can be imported to RFEM or RSTAB.
“Thank you very much for the useful information.
I would like to pay a compliment to your support team. I am always impressed how quickly and professionally the questions are answered. In the industry of structural analysis, I use several software including service contract, but your support is by far the best.”
