Brock Commons is an 18‑story mass timber hybrid student residence currently under construction at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada.
When completed in summer 2017, it will be the tallest mass timber hybrid building in the world, at 174 feet high.
The local council of Montmélian, located about ten kilometers (6.21 miles) from Chambéry in Savoy, has decided to expand its range of sporting facilities by investing in this new indoor tennis court project. This shining perspective of light and the sun, originally inspired by the city's designation of "Solar Montmélian", symbolizes the heart of this project, highlighted by the maximum exploitation of natural light, which is composed of translucent polycarbonate sheets and photovoltaic panels covering 5,812.51 ft² of the facility.
As part of the urban development of Metz, a new gymnasium is under construction, featuring advanced engineering techniques and a commitment to sustainability. The project combines LC spruce GL24h cross-beams, steel columns, and insulated concrete precast walls to ensure the stability of the structure. The timber roof structure serves as a support for the photovoltaic panels. BET Moselle Bois, a customer of Dlubal Software, was responsible for the structural analysis and design.

ATP architekten ingenieure is an Austrian customer of Dlubal, working in Innsbruck. It has designed a special project for Markus Handl Beteiligung GmbH, a speck producer in Pians, Tyrol, Austria. The new building of the trading company has in-house production, supplying upscale restaurants and hotels. It includes one of the world's largest continuous cross-laminated timber panels, with a total area of about 6,996 square feet.
The Eden Project in Cornwall, United Kingdom is a complex of two huge biome buildings consisting of several domes and outdoor gardens. Inside the biomes, there are several thousand species of plants collected from many diverse climates and environments, which serve for biological studies and exhibitions. The Rainforest Biome was built in the second phase of The Eden Project’s development. It is kept at a tropical temperature and moisture level and covers over 1,000 varieties of tropical plants.
Modern design methods and fabrication techniques of CLT panels allow for easier design and construction of high‑rise timber buildings.
“Îlot bois de Strasbourg” is one of the first CLT building projects in France to exceed 98 ft in height. This building complex, consisting of three high‑rise buildings, provides commercial space on the ground floor and 146 residential units on the upper floors. The entire structure has a total area of 100,104 ft².
Our client, Maderas Besteiro, was in charge of drafting this emblematic project (structural analysis and design), involving the manufacture of all pieces, a numerical control, subsequent treatment, and finally, assembly management.
SIDO Madera, a Spanish Dlubal customer, has designed a 21-meter-long (69 ft) bicycle-pedestrian bridge located in Orihuela, Alicante, Spain. It is made of GL24H pine timber, treated by autoclave with copper salts. In addition, hot-dip galvanized S235 steel fasteners were used.
The Kozłowski-Projekt Engineering Office participated in designing a factory which produces wood‑based, high-endurance laminate panels. The project by MLT OOO was constructed in Torzhok, Russia, making it Europe’s largest manufacturer of panels of this type.
