A concrete surface is only designed when some reinforcement has been defined for it: The design checks are based on the provided reinforcement of each surface. If there is no reinforcement of a surface, it will not be included in the concrete design.
Before defining the reinforcement, you should check the settings concerning the durability of the concrete objects such as the exposure class and global parameters of the concrete cover.
