In two and a half halls, around 10,000 visitors from 330 exhibitors were keen to learn about the digital solutions of the entire supply chain in the construction industry. The exhibitors came from 16 countries. 72 start-ups were among them. The organizers provided five forums and numerous networking events.
The focus was on digital construction sites/BIM, digital urban planning, smart building, artificial intelligence, and robotics.
Dlubal Software was represented by Daniel Dlubal, Andreas Niemeier, Paul Kieloch, Bastian Kuhn, and Stefan Frenzel. The trade fair visitors showed great interest in the new-generation RFEM 6. Some customers upgraded directly to the latest version. In general, the feedback is very appealing, as all new features and benefits have been accepted very well. The Steel Joints add-on is the favorite program of structural engineers.
This year, the young talent award for innovative digital solutions in the construction industry "Built on IT" was awarded during the fair. Prof Dr.-Ing. Martin Ferger handed over the prize for 3rd place to Daniel Dlubal for his master thesis. Investigation of Structural Analysis Format (SAF) on Suitability for BIM-Based Structural Design is a digital topic for the future.
As of 2023, digitalBau will take place every year, because there is a desire for an annual exchange in the construction industry.
