Which graphics card is recommended by Dlubal Software?
For RFEM and RSTAB, we recommend a graphics card supporting the OpenGL functions as hardware. All current graphics cards comply with this.
We recommend graphics cards with the NVIDIA or graphics processor. However, RFEM and RSTAB do not necessarily require the high-performance CAD graphics cards (NVIDIA Quadro...).
It is very important to always keep the graphics cards up-to-date.
The drivers of so-called mainstream graphics cards (NVIDIA Geforce ...) fit the various computer configurations better, which is why there are significantly less problems than when using CAD cards. Therefore, we do not recommend graphics hardware integrated in the chip set or the central processor (Intel HD xxxx, G xx, Qxx).
Notebooks usually contain two graphics cards: a low-power Intel HD chip integrated in the processor and an additional, more powerful graphics chip by NVIDIA or AMD. In this case, it is important to assure that RFEM and RSTAB use the more powerful graphics chip.
