The dialog for the mesh settings can be found in the Calculate menu. The Solids tab provides settings for the FE mesh of soil volumes. The corresponding input dialog is shown as shown in the following figure.

In RFEM 6, a network length to be achieved for the structure to be analyzed is defined in the General tab.
With the point to be activated in (1), it is possible to define a target value for the FE network length of the ground independently of the globally defined FE network length for the building, for example.
Thus, the different dimensions of the components and the soil, and thus the different demands on the FE mesh size, are taken into account.
