VisLab, a start-up at the University of Parma, is a global leader in autonomous driving systems development for various vehicle types. The American company Ambarella became aware of VisLab’s mission in a rapidly developing area characterized by strong competition and decided to strategically acquire the company. As a result, a new headquarter location to accommodate this research was required. Ambarella preferred the research center to remain on University of Parma’s campus in Italy.

After 2 1/2 + years of construction, the world’s highest 3S cableway "Matterhorn glacier ride" was opened at the end of September 2018. The $55 million project was developed to increase passenger capacity to the Klein Matterhorn sitting at an altitude of 12802 ft. Additionally, it’s now possible to keep the service running when performing maintenance work to the existing tramway.
A kindergarten, designed according to Building Information Modeling (BIM), is currently under construction in the Tyrolean municipality of Schwoich. The digital 3D model accompanies the construction project from design until completion.
The architectural planning has been performed with Autodesk Revit. The structural model, including cross-sections, materials, loads, etc., has been exported to RFEM with the direct interface and designed there.

At the beginning of December 2016, a giant wooden airship “suspended” above the Centre for Contemporary Art in Prague, Czech Republic, has been opened to the public.
The unique airship structure made of timber and steel has been named “Gulliver” and, just like the early zeppelins, it represents the eternal human desire to fly and a certain utopian ideal. Gulliver will serve as a space for literature events related to the themes of DOX’s exhibitions. These exhibitions are characterized by critical reflection on the situation of our contemporary world.

Since May 2013, a new S-shaped pylon bridge meanders across the Agger river near Lohmar, a town in West Germany. Due to its curving shape, the bridge reflecting the course of the river is perfectly integrated into the landscape.
