The structural analysis program RFEM is the basis of a modular software system. The main program RFEM is used to define structures, materials, and loads for planar and spatial structural systems consisting of plates, walls, shells, and members. The program also allows you to create combined structures as well as model solid and contact elements.
The structural frame analysis and design program RSTAB contains a similar range of functions as the FEA software RFEM, with special attention to frameworks. Therefore, it is very easy to use and for many years it has been the best choice for structural analysis of beam structures consisting of steel, concrete, timber, aluminum, and other materials.
The modular software system allows you to add relevant add-on modules to the main programs RFEM and RSTAB and thus adapt them to your individual requirements. The following overview provides a list of the add-on modules available for both main programs.
Stand-alone programs SHAPE‑THIN and SHAPE‑MASSIVE are used for determining cross‑section properties of any cross‑section type, as well as calculation of stresses and design.
Both programs can be connected to RFEM and RSTAB so the SHAPE‑THIN and SHAPE‑MASSIVE cross‑sections are available in the RFEM or RSTAB libraries. It is also possible to import internal forces from RFEM and RSTAB to SHAPE‑THIN and SHAPE‑MASSIVE for further design.
The stand‑alone programs do not require installation of the main program RFEM or RSTAB.
CRANEWAY designs craneway girders according to EC 3 and PLATE‑BUCKLING performs buckling analysis of unstiffened and stiffened rectangular plates according to EC 3.
The RX‑TIMBER programs design glulam trusses, continuous beams, columns, purlins, frames, stiffening, and roofs of timber structures.
