SDNF

The SDNF format (*.sdnf/*.dat) ( Steel Detailing Neutral File) is used to exchange model data for the detail planning of steel structures.
The following model data can be transferred:

  • Materials and cross-sections
  • Uniform members with member eccentricities
  • Surfaces with openings

Insert Point

The insert point corresponds to the model coordinates in RFEM. You can manually change the insert point along the X, Y, and Z axes.

Axis Rotation

You can also rotate the model about the global axes. A positive angle rotates the model clockwise.

The sequence of the axis rotations can be defined separately.

Coordinate System Transformation

In the corresponding drop-down menu, you can swap the axes or change the direction of an axis.

Options

Export linear members

Uniform members of the structure can be exported.

Export surfaces

The surfaces of the model are exported.

Export openings

Optionally, you can export the existing openings.

Info

This file format allows you to exchange data with Advance Steel, HiCAD, Tekla Structures, aveva E3D, among other programs.
