The ‘’'Thicknesses table'‘’ in the “Aluminum Design” category lists all the thicknesses you have created in the model.
The font color of the thicknesses provides information about the use of the thickness. The colors mean:
- Black: Thickness is used for the objects to be designed
- Blue: Thickness is not used in the model
- Gray: Thickness is not used for the objects to be designed
Removing Thicknesses from Design
For all valid thicknesses, you can exclude all surfaces assigned to this thickness from the aluminum design by deactivating the “To Design” check box. The surfaces are then sorted into the “Not Valid / Deactivated” column in the Objects to Design table and removed from the design.
Using Other Thickness for Design
If you want to use a different thickness for the design than for the RFEM calculation, you can select an alternative in the “Use Other Thickness d [mm] for Design” column. This action does not affect the internal forces: They are also used for the modified thickness in the design.
If a different thickness is stored, additional options are available in the cell shortcut menu (accessible by right-clicking):
- Export thickness to RFEM
- Export all thicknesses to RFEM
- Import thickness from RFEM
- Import all thicknesses from RFEM
