Manipulate Model

Select the model before applying the function.

You can modify the "Position" and/or "Rotation" of the model either numerically by entering the values in the text boxes, or graphically by using the arrows shown around the model. The parameters of displacement (pX, pY, pZ) and rotation (A1, A2, A3) refer to the axes of the wind tunnel: pX and A1 are the coordinates or angles in the wind direction, pY and A2 those transversal to it, while pZ and A3 represent the vertical coordinate or angle.

Tip

When the "Local CS" option is selected, all axes refer to the coordinate system of the original model of RSTAB 9 / RFEM 6. If the model is derived from load case "Wind 90°," for example, the coordinate system will be rotated 90°.

Alternatively, you can move or rotate the model in the work window by selecting one of the arrows and moving it. The corresponding parameter is shown in the "Current Value" and "Step box" of the panel. There, you can also set the interval Δ for the model to snap on when moving the pointer. To deactivate the graphical tool, click the empty space in the work window.

Click Apply to check in the graphics whether you have set the correct parameters. Then use Button "Stop" to exit the function.

Tip

The wind tunnel is not adapted automatically to the new situation. Use the Wind Tunnel dialog box where you can adjust its dimensions to the new position of the model.
