Reduction of Unrealistic Effects Due to Singularities and Average Regions

If stresses are concentrated at an FE node, this is usually a singularity problem. In many cases, it is often sufficient to arrange average regions at corner points or singularity locations (see Image 01). The stresses in these areas should then be significantly smaller.
