# When evaluating the results, it is noticeable that z. B. arise as a result of temperature load cases very high axial forces in some FE-points. How can I model the surfaces to avoid unrealistic effects?

When the stresses occur concentrated at an FE-point, it is often a singularity. In many cases, it is often sufficient to arrange mean stress regions at the corner points or singularity locations (see Figure 01). The stresses should then be significantly smaller in these areas.

There are also several articles available in our Knowledge Base on dealing with singularities and smooth ranges .
