8.33 Solids - Deformations

To control the graphical display of solid deformations, select the Global Deformations check box in the Results navigator (see Figure 8.37). Table 4.33 shows the deformations for the boundary surfaces of solids in numerical form.

The table shows the displacements and rotations for the grid points of the individual boundary surfaces. The deformations inside the solid are not shown.

Grid Point

The numbers of the grid points (see Chapter 8.13) are listed by surface.

Grid Point Coordinates

Table columns C to E show the coordinates of grid points in the global coordinate system XYZ.

Displacements / Rotations

The deformations have the following meanings:
