11.4.12 Inserting Nodes

Inserting Nodes

You can use this function to create a new node between any two nodes. That way, you do not need to define a line and divide it by an intermediate node (see Chapter 11.4.7).

To access the corresponding function, select the menu entry

    • Insert → Model Data → Nodes → Node Between Two Points

or use the [New Node] list button in the toolbar.

Select the two points (nodes, grid points, any points) one after the other in the work window. Then the following dialog box appears.

The Distance from Point can be defined in absolute or relative values. The work window displays modifications immediately. To create the new node, click [OK].
