10.1.5 Inserting RFEM Graphics

Inserting RFEM Graphics

Every picture displayed in the work window can be integrated into the printout report. It is also possible to include result diagrams of sections, members, and line supports, as well as the cross-section details in the report by using the button in the respective dialog boxes.

To print the currently displayed graphic, use the menu entry

    • File → Print Graphic

or the toolbar button shown on the left.

The following dialog box appears.

Select the To a printout report option in this dialog section. If several printout reports are available, you can select the number of the relevant report in the list to the right.

Options
Lock graphic picture

Dynamic graphics are generated by default: When the model or the results are modified, the graphics in the printout report are updated automatically. If performance problems occur in the report because of the graphics, you can stop the dynamic adjustment by selecting the Lock graphic picture (without update) check box.

In the printout report, a graphic can be unlocked again: Right-click the graphic item in the report navigator to open its shortcut menu (see Figure 10.4). Select Properties to once more access the Graphic Printout dialog box of the picture. You can also mark the graphic in the report navigator and select Edit → Chapter Properties in the menu.

The lock buttons in the toolbar of the printout report provide another way to classify graphics as static or dynamic (see Figure 10.4). The buttons have the following functions.

All graphics are updated.

All graphics are unlocked and can therefore be updated dynamically.

All graphics are locked and therefore fixed in place in the printout report.

Show printout report on [OK]

When closing the dialog box with [OK], the printout report normally opens so that you can check the print results. This may be annoying when you want to transfer several graphics in a row to the printout report, for example. After clearing the check box, it is possible to print pictures without waiting periods when creating the printout report.

Note

The remaining functions and tabs of the dialog box are explained in Chapter 10.2.

Changing a graphic in the printout report

Use the shortcut menu of the printout report to change a graphic retroactively.

Among other things, the Properties control the size, frame, and color of the picture. Use the Edit button to edit the view (angle of view, object and value display, etc.) in the RFEM work window.
