Once you activate Steel Design and select a standard in the model's Base Data, two additional folders are added to the "Navigator – Data":
- Types for Steel Design
- Steel Design
Steel Design
The objects in the "Steel Design" category manage all data relevant for the design, such as effective lengths, design situations, material properties, and design configurations. You can also access these objects and entries in the table: Select "Steel Design" from the list to display the design-specific input data in tables.
The tables and input dialog boxes of the "Steel Design" category are described in the chapter Steel Design.
Options
Further settings for steel design are available in various input dialog boxes in the RFEM or RSTAB interface. This allows you to use members or member sets for the design, insert member transverse stiffeners, define shear panels and rotational restraints, or specify supports for the deflection analysis. These important entries for object types, which are not part of the "Steel Design" category, are described in the chapter Options.
