This chapter describes other options and object types that have a significant influence on the design checks, but are not part of the Steel Design category.
For the steel design, you can consider member transverse stiffeners. Since they are also considered for other add-ons, they are not part of the Types for Steel Design, but of the general category Types for Members.
The Design Supports & Deflection tab becomes active in the editing dialog box of members or member sets as soon as the design properties have been activated. In this dialog box, you can define the boundary conditions for the serviceability limit state design in Steel Design. The dialog box is also relevant for other design add-ons.
The chapter Member Sets provides you with information about the design of structural components, such as a member or a member set. The handling of representatives in the design is explained in the chapter Representatives.
