This chapter describes other options that have a significant influence on the steel design, but are not part of the Types for Steel Design nor the Steel Design input tables.
For the steel design, you can consider member transverse stiffeners. Since they are also considered for other add-ons, they are not part of the Types for Steel Design, but of the general category Types for Members.
The Design Supports & Deflection tab becomes active in the editing dialog box of members or member sets as soon as the design properties have been activated. In this dialog box, you can define the boundary conditions for the serviceability limit state design in Steel Design. The dialog box is also relevant for other design add-ons.
Chapter Member Sets provides you with information about the design of structural components, such as a member or a member set. The handling of representatives in the design is explained in Chapter Representatives.
