For some standards, the Standard Parameter tab of the 'Ultimate Configuration' or 'Strength Configuration' dialog is available. All coefficients relevant for the design checks are listed here.
The 'Design settings' are tailored to the sections of the respective standard. The following sections describe the parameters of these standards:
EN 1995
All coefficients relevant for the selected National Annex are listed. The default setting corresponds to the standard specification or recommendation. The 'Comment' column indicates the standard section to which a parameter refers. Reduction factors are automatically considered by default, whereas increase factors are not activated. You can actively set the corresponding coefficients by checking the box if the conditions are met. In this way, favorably acting factors can be considered in the designs, for example for laminated veneer lumber.
If it is necessary to adjust a coefficient, you can also define it user-defined. The stress distribution factor kdis plays a role particularly for duopitch roof beams to consider effects of tension perpendicular to the grain in curved cross-section profiles.
NDS
All coefficients relevant for the design according to NDS are listed. The default setting corresponds to the standard specification. The 'Comment' column indicates the standard section to which a parameter refers.

CSA O86
All coefficients relevant for the design according to CSA are listed. The default setting corresponds to the standard specification. The 'Comment' column indicates the standard section to which a parameter refers.
The description is in progress.
