Utilization on beam panels | Beam

The result tables of the category Utilizations on Beam Panels | Beams contain the result data for the designs of beam panels with the respective utilizations.

Important

The table category is available if a Beam Panel is defined in the model and the check box for the design of the Beams is activated in the Global Settings dialog box.

The results of beam panels and beams are sorted in the tabs according to the following criteria:

  • Loads (design situations, load combinations)
  • Member properties (materials, cross-sections)
  • Objects (beam panels, members, member locations x)

Beam Panel Surface No.

Each beam panel is assigned to a surface. The number of this surface is given here.

Member No.

For each design criterion, the number of the member with the maximum utilization is given.

Beam Type

Here, the location of the member is described:

  • Horizontal member on the top edge (-y) or bottom edge (+y) of the plate (see Beam Panel | Beams)
  • Vertical member on the left edge (-x) or right edge (+x) of the plate (see Beam Panel | Beams)
  • Inner rib: Member inside the plate

Location x

The x-location in the member is given for which the maximum utilization was determined. The following locations x are relevant for the tabular output:

  • Start and end nodes
  • Intermediate member result points (if defined)
  • Member divisions according to the Mesh Settings for members
  • Extreme values of the internal forces

Stress Point No.

The design is carried out at so-called stress points of the cross-section. These locations are defined by the coordinates of the centroidal distances. All standard library cross-sections are provided with stress points at the relevant locations for the design.

Design Situation

This column names the numbers of the Design Situations for which the individual utilizations are available.

Loading

The numbers of the load or result combinations that are governing for the respective designs are given.

Design Criterion

In this column, the design conditions according to the Standard are given. The degree of the respective utilization is expressed by the length of the colored bar.

Design Type

Each design is identified by a code with its number. For example, the designs of the serviceability limit state have the code 'SE'. The design type is explained in the Description column.

Design Formula

You can activate this column in the Result Table Manager. It gives the equations of the standard according to which the designs are carried out.

Description

Each design is explained by a short description referencing the chapter in the standard.

Tip

You can display the Design Details for a specific utilization using the Design check details button or by double-clicking the line.

Filtering Results

The Utilizations on Members chapter describes how to filter the results by the limit state and by the utilization.
