The result table for checking slenderness can be displayed for members or member sets according to the designed objects.
Some design standards recommend compliance with limit slenderness values regardless of the utilization of the stability analysis. By default, the result tables for slenderness are deactivated, but you can activate them via the Result table manager (button
in the result tables).
The slenderness for flexural buckling is calculated from the ratio of the radius of gyration to the effective length. The defined Effective lengths are considered in the calculation, provided they are assigned to an object. If no effective length is assigned to an object, a note is displayed in the comment column, and the slenderness is calculated using the member length.
The slenderness values are compared with the limit values from the Global Settings. If the slenderness is greater than the limit value used for the loading, a red marking is displayed.
Thus, the slenderness checks are not part of the result table Design Ratios on Members and, even if the limit value is not met, are not displayed in the Summary Table of Checks.
