Design Details

The Design Check Details dialog box shows you the detailed results for the selected designs. Various filter options are available here. In addition to the tabular view of the intermediate values, the design formulas can also be displayed.

In the result tables of the 'Timber Design' category, you can access the design check details in one of the following ways:

  • Design check details button in the table toolbar
  • Double-click a result line

Display

In this section of the dialog box, you can select the design for which the design check details are to be displayed. Various list fields are available for selection, with which you can uniquely specify the design to be displayed:

  • Design situation
  • Load
  • Member Set No.
  • Member No.
  • x-location
  • Cross-Section Stress point
  • Design

Only those selection lists are available for which results exist. For example, if only members are included in the design, the selection field for member sets is not available. With the Single Selection button, you can select a member or a member set in the graphic window, and its number is automatically transferred to the list field.

If you select a member set, only members belonging to this member set are available for selection in the list of members. In this case, the Absolute Coordinates from Member Set Start button allows a reference of the x-location to the member set start; otherwise, the x-location always refers to the start of the member. The members designed without a member set are available in the list if you select the value '--' for the member set number.

The selection of the stress point is only available for designs that are related to a stress point (for example, stress analysis). All other designs are available when '--' is selected.

Design Check Details

The essential input parameters, intermediate values, and design results are displayed here in a tree structure. Thus, you can trace the performed designs in detail. In the formula view, the use of the intermediate values up to the final result is presented comprehensibly.

Designs at Location

In the Designs at Location tab, all designs performed at this location are displayed. Here, you can gain a quick overview of the utilization of the various designs. By double-clicking a line, you can display the design check details of the respective design.

Some designs, such as stress analysis, are performed at each stress point. Other designs, such as stability analysis, do not require a distinction between the stress points.

Formula View

The essential formulas for determining the intermediate values, as well as the final calculation of the design criterion, are presented in this section. You can use the buttons at the bottom to switch between formula symbols or numerical values. In addition, you also have the option for a graphic printout here.

Via the Model View button, you can also show a model view instead of the formula view. This allows you to quickly locate the selected design location in the model.
