Steel Joints Add-on

This manual describes the "Steel Joints" add-on for RFEM 6.

You can activate or deactivate the use of the design add-on in the Add-ons tab of the model's Base Data.

A green dot in front of the add-on description means that a license is available. An orange or blue dot indicates that you can only use the add-on as a demo or trial version with a limited range of functions.

In the Standards II tab of the Base Data, you can select the standard used for the design of steel connections (see also Chapter Standards II). The input dialog boxes of the steel joint design are automatically adjusted to this standard.

The currently available design standards and a summary of the functional scope can be found in the product description of Steel Joints for RFEM 6.

As soon as you activate the add-on and select the design standards, the user interface is extended by some new entries in the navigator, tables, and dialog boxes. This means that the concrete design parameters are fully integrated into the RFEM user interface.

Tip

In our tutorial, you can follow the steel joint design step by step using a simple model.
