Free nodes are nodes that are of no importance for the calculation. This means: If the nodes are not used as the start or end of members, as auxiliary nodes (e.g., for load introduction and dimensioning), or for other objects, they are free nodes. They can be selected using the feature "Edit" → "Select" → "Free Nodes".
