Member representatives are "member templates" for 1D objects that have identical properties concerning the material, cross-section, member type, and length. Only the member with the governing internal forces and moments of all similar types is analyzed. In this way, the representatives provide a good overview both in the program and in the printout. They also facilitate the evaluation and documentation of results.
Usage in RFEM and RSTAB
It is not necessary to create the member representatives manually: They are generated automatically from the properties of the members available in the model. To do this, activate the corresponding option in the "Settings and Options" tab of the Base Data of the model.
The member representatives are listed in Navigator – Data under the basic objects. In the editing dialog box, you can then assign the design properties.
