A structure modification allows you to individually adjust stiffnesses of materials, objects, and object types.
Modify Stiffnesses
In the dialog box, select the object types whose stiffnesses you want to modify. Thus, new tabs are added. In this dialog box, you can adjust parameters, such as the properties of particular materials, cross‑sections, members, surfaces, or supports. Furthermore, you can change the stiffnesses for the design in add-ons.
Deactivate Nonlinearities
If objects with nonlinear properties are used in the model, the effect can be disabled for the individual object types; for example, to avoid failing tension or compression members for test purposes.
Other Options
The "Deactivate objects" function allows you to exclude certain model objects from the calculation. For example, you can analyze the effect of temporary members (jack posts) or supports without deleting the objects.
