A member stiffness is a special member type. It allows you to control the stiffnesses and properties of a member that should be considered in a structural analysis. For a member of this type, it is not necessary to define a cross-section that has the required properties, because the elements of the stiffness matrix can be defined directly.
Usage in RFEM and RSTAB
In order to apply a member stiffness to a member, it is necessary to assign the Stiffness member type to the member. Then, you can assign the member stiffness or redefine it.
