Linearity

The term of a linearity is based on a general linear function between the real size values of two physical values. They are used to describe a structural component or a physical relation of an initial value x and a result value y, and if these values are sufficient for the equation, it is referred to as a linear component or a linear relation.

If such a relation is displayed in a rectangular coordinate system with uniform distances on both axes, the relation is displayed as a straight line.
