The following chapters describe the input parameters that relate to the Time History Analysis add-on.
'Time History Analysis' Add-on
In the Add-ons tab of the model's Base Data, you can activate or deactivate the time history analysis (see the image 'Add-ons' for Analysis and Design ). A green dot in front of the name of the add-on indicates that a license is available. An orange or blue dot means that the add-on is only available as a demo or as a part of the trial version.
In the Standards I tab of the Base Data, you can select the standard to be used for the dynamic analysis (see image 'Standards I' tab). The input dialog boxes of the dynamic analysis are automatically adjusted to this standard.
After activating the add-on and the standard, the graphical user interface is extended by some new entries in the navigator, tables, and dialog boxes (see image Entries in Navigator and Image Entries in Table ). The parameters of the time history analysis are thus completely integrated into the user interface of the programs RFEM or RSTAB.
Input dialog boxes
For the time history analysis, two input dialog boxes are governing:
- In the Load Cases and Combinations dialog box, you define the load cases that are calculated according to the time history analysis, and assign the accelerogram or time diagram.
- In the Time History Analysis Settings dialog box, you can define the rules according to which the time history analysis is performed.
