Time history analysis load combinations

The Load Combinations dialog tab allows you to combine several load situations with different time diagrams and to superimpose them. This allows you to simulate an excitation that is not only variable over time, but also changes its position - for example, a pedestrian crossing a bridge.

Select the . This option is not available for accelerograms.

Base

The setting options in the Main tab correspond to the setting options of the Main tab for load cases.

Assignment

In the Assignment tab, you can select the load cases to be used for the time history analysis.

The 'Existing Load Cases' column shows all load cases of the type 'Static Analysis' or 'Time History Analysis | Time Diagram' listed in the table. The selection of load cases is described in Chapter Load Combinations of the RFEM manual.

Tip

A different time diagram can be assigned to each load case. You can also use a time diagram several times.

For load cases of the type 'Time History Analysis', the respective settings are adopted and entered in the 'Assigned for CO' dialog section in the columns 'Time Diagram' and the 'Time Slip'.
