Results by Surface

In the table result category Results by Surface (see the image Subcategory for Spectral Analysis Results ), the numerical results are listed that are available in the grid points of the individual surfaces. The results are sorted by surface number.

Deformations

The deformations of surfaces are output in relation to the global axes as well as the local surface axes. You can control the graphical display by using the navigator categories 'Global Deformations' and 'Surfaces' → 'Local Deformations' (see image Results of Spectral Analysis ). The table lists the corresponding results in the 'Global Deformations' and 'Local Deformations' tabs.

Info

The result types of the surface deformations are described in Chapter Deformations of the RFEM manual.

Internal forces

The surface internal forces are subdivided into three categories:

  • Basic Internal Forces: internal forces and moments in the direction of the surface axes
  • Principal Internal Forces: internal forces and moments in the direction of the principal axes
  • Design Internal Forces: internal forces and moments according to DIN V ENV 1992-1-1 [1] Appendix 2, A 2.8 and A 2.9

Define the result type for the graphical display in the navigator category 'Surfaces' → 'Internal Forces'. The table lists the surface internal forces in the tabs 'Basic Internal Forces', 'Main Internal Forces', and 'Design Internal Forces'.

Info

The result types of the surface internal forces are described in Chapter Internal Forces of the RFEM manual.

Stress

The surface stresses are subdivided into four categories:

  • Basic Stresses: stresses in the direction of the surface axes
  • Principal Stresses: stresses in the direction of the principal axes
  • Elastic Stress Components: Stress components from bending moments and membrane forces
  • Equivalent Stresses: Combination of the basic stresses according to von Mises, Tresca, Rankine, or Bach

Define the result type for the graphical display in the Navigator category 'Surfaces' → 'Stresses'. In the table, the surface stresses are listed in the tabs 'Basic Stresses', 'Principal Stresses', 'Elastic Stress Component', and 'Equivalent Stresses'.

Info

The result types of the surface stresses are described in Chapter Stresses of the RFEM manual.

Strains

The surface strains are subdivided into four categories:

  • Basic Total Strains: strains in the direction of the surface axes
  • Principal Total Strains: strains in the direction of the principal axes
  • Maximum Total Strains: extreme values of strains
  • Equivalent Total Strains: Combination of the basic total strains according to von Mises, Tresca, Rankine or Bach

Define the result type for the graphical display in the Navigator category 'Surfaces' → 'Strains'. In the table, the surface strains are listed in the tabs 'Basic total strains', 'Principal total strains', 'Maximum total strains', and 'Equivalent total strains'.

Info

The result types of the surface strains are described in Chapter Strains of the RFEM manual.

Contact Stress

For surfaces provided with a surface support, you can use the {$ Display }Contact Stresses'.

Info

The result types of the surface elastic foundations are described in Chapter Contact Stresses of the RFEM manual.
