In this tab, you can specify the concrete cover of the foundation plate. The concrete cover can be user-defined or calculated according to the standard.
Options
You can enter the concrete cover manually by selecting the “User-defined” option. It is also possible to enter different concrete covers for the individual cross-section sides.
Concrete Durability
If you want to calculate the concrete cover according to the standard, it is necessary to select the respective exposure classes. The minimum concrete cover according to the standard is displayed on the right. For detailed information on concrete durability, see the chapter Concrete Durability of the introductory example.
Allowance for Deviation According to 4.4.1.3(4)
You can calculate the allowance for deviation according to EN 1992-1-1, 4.4.1.3(4). To do this, click the button in the “Concrete Durability” section for an exposure class
. The “Edit Concrete Durability” dialog box appears. Switch to the “Concrete Cover Options” tab. In the “Allowance for Deviation” section, select the Concrete cast against uneven surfaces according to 4.4.1.3(4) option.
