This chapter describes the design properties of foundations to be designed. These properties, such as geometry and reinforcement arrangement, have a significant influence on the design checks.
The subchapters describe the individual tabs of the “Edit Single Foundation” dialog box. To activate these tabs, select the “Design Properties” check box in the “Main” tab.
In the Main tab of the “Edit Single Foundation” window, you can select between different foundation types in the “Type” control box. RFEM 6 allows for the design of a total of six foundation types:
- Reinforced or unreinforced foundation plates
- Bucket foundations with smooth or rough bucket sides (in preparation)
- Block foundations with smooth or rough bucket sides
