Minimum Reinforcement

In the event of initial cracking, the minimum reinforcement is intended to cover the tensile loading previously absorbed by the concrete.

The minimum section area of the longitudinal tension reinforcement is calculated according to EN 1992-1-1 [1], 9.2.1.1(1). The cross-sectional area of the tension or compression reinforcement is limited according to Section 9.2.1.1(3).
