The Concrete Foundations category manages the basic assignments for the design of foundations. Here you can check the objects to be designed and assign the geotechnical calculation configurations as well as the concrete design configuration to the objects.
For your work within tables, you can use the functions known from RFEM that allow you to Edit Table. The specific tables of the 'Concrete Foundations' category are presented in the following chapters.

In addition, general specifications for the concrete design are available in the Global Settings dialog box. You can close this dialog box by clicking the
or use the shortcut menu of the 'Concrete Foundations' navigator entry.
Design Configurations: Geotechnical analysis configuration and concrete design configurations
The detailed settings for the individual designs are defined in the Geotechnical configuration and in the concrete configuration. Only those design configurations are available that are activated in the Global Settings. These configurations are currently described for the Eurocode standards EN 1997 and EN 1992.
The design configurations are also organized as types. This way, you can create different types for the individual design configurations and then, for example, assign the appropriate configurations to a foundation in the 'Geotechnical Configuration' tab.
Select an existing configuration from the list or create a new configuration. Use the
button to create a new configuration. You can use the
button allows you to graphically transfer the configuration from another object. Use the
button to edit the selected design configuration.
Managing Design Configurations
In the 'Edit Geotechnical Analysis Configuration' dialog box, you can see all the limit state configurations available in the model in the 'List'. You can use the

button to copy the selected configuration and the
button to delete the selected configuration.
Assigning Design Configuration
Similar to the Types for Foundations, you can assign the configuration to the objects individually. There are various options for this:
- Assignment via the

- Assignment in input table of concrete foundations for configurations (see image Assigning Geotechnical Configuration via Table)
- Assignment via a list in the editing dialog of the object
For example, if you do not want to carry out a geotechnical design for individual foundations, it is simply not possible to assign the geotechnical configuration to these foundations.
