Reinforcement

In the Reinforcement tab, you specify the material and the type of reinforcement for the foundation slab and the pocket block.

Material

Select the appropriate material for the reinforcement from the list, for example B500S(A). With the button, you can define a new reinforcing steel.

Slab

Specify the reinforcement type of the slab here. The list offers three options:

• Mesh and reinforcement bars: Combination of meshes and bars
• Mesh: Reinforcement with meshes only
• Reinforcement bars: Reinforcement with bar steel only

Pocket

Here, you can define the design of the horizontal stirrup reinforcement. Two options are available:

• Stirrups enclosing the column
• Stirrups located completely within a pocket wall

The reinforcement properties of the foundation slab for the Foundation Slab foundation type are described in the Plate Reinforcement chapter. You can define the reinforcement properties of the pocket in the Pocket Reinforcement tab.
