In this chapter, the design properties of bucket foundations are explained. For bucket foundations – as for a block foundation – there is a distinction option regarding the surfaces of the bucket sides: They can be executed as either smooth or rough. The nature of the bucket inner surface affects the force flow within the bucket and thus has a major influence on the design.
