In the Plate Reinforcement tab of the Edit Single Foundation dialog, you define the specifications for the upper and lower reinforcement layers of the foundation slab. The settings are divided into the Top and Bottom sections.
Top
Use the Define selection field to specify whether reinforcement is specified in the upper area of the foundation slab. The Without option deactivates the upper reinforcement definition.
Bottom
The Bottom section contains the complete definition of the lower reinforcement layer. Use the Primary Direction selection field to determine which direction represents the governing reinforcement direction (e.g., In x-direction).
Activate the Rebar check box to define the bottom reinforcement via rebar diameter and rebar spacing. If the check box is activated, the settings for both directions are displayed.
In x-direction and In y-direction
The reinforcement is defined separately for the In x-direction and the In y-direction. The structure of both directions is identical.
In the Distribution Areas field, you enter the number of zones into which the foundation is divided in the respective direction.
Each distribution area can be activated and configured individually:
- Area I – primary distribution zone. Use the associated check box to activate this zone.
- Area II – secondary zone. The Different option allows a configuration that deviates from Area I.
- Area III – third zone. The Identical to I setting automatically adopts the parameters of Area I. In this case, the zone cannot be edited individually.
For each active area, the following fields are available:
| Field | Symbol | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Reinforcement Area per Meter | ρs,x,bottom / ρs,y,bottom | Reinforcement area per meter calculated from diameter and spacing in cm²/m. Output value. |
| Width | wArea | Calculated width of the distribution zone in m. Output value. |
| Diameter | ds,I. / ds,II. | Rebar diameter of the reinforcement in mm. |
| Spacing | sI. / sII. | Center-to-center spacing of the reinforcement bars in m. |
The Define Anchorage check box enables the manual entry of the anchorage length for the bars of the respective zone.
