In the dialog Sensors, you can define the positions of the measuring points on the structure and enter the measurement data.
Base
In the Base tab, you define the locations that are equipped with sensors. Select the type of this location in the list:
- Point – any position on a member or surface
- Node – a previously defined node of the model
Then specify the coordinates of the sensor. You can use the
button to determine the location graphically on the model.
Measurements
In the Measurements tab, you assign the measurement data.
Sensor Measurement
In the table, you define which sensor value definitions apply at the measuring point. The columns are aligned with the 'Value source' defined in the Sensor Value Definitions.
Select a previously defined entry in the list of the Sensor value definition column. The 'New Sensor Value Definition' option allows you to describe and apply the measurement and threshold values of a sensor.
Use the
button to add another row for a sensor measurement (or simply click into the next row). Use the
button to open the 'Sensor Value Definition' dialog to check the parameters or adjust them if necessary. If you want to delete a row, use the context menu with the corresponding option.
The function of the Original value column depends on the 'Value source' of the sensor value definition:
- For RSTAB values, the results of the RSTAB calculation are displayed.
- For user-defined values, you can enter the measurement data here.
In the Referenced value column, you can define a reference value for RSTAB results.
The Status column indicates how the sensor conditions are met based on the measured values:
- OK: The value is below the warning limit.
- Warning: The warning limit is exceeded, but the value is still below the alarm limit.
- Alarm: The value exceeds the alarm limit.
Description
This section is only displayed for a user-defined value source. Here, you can enter a comment and describe the measured value.
Result Location
This section is only displayed if the value represents an RSTAB result (see image Defining Sensor Values). Specify the node where the value is available. You can use the
button in the activated cell to determine the node graphically on the model.
Values
This section is only displayed if the value source represents a user-defined function.
Here, you can enter the result data of the individual measurements.
