Mouse
The mouse functions correspond to the Windows standards.
Left mouse button
If you click a structural or load object with the left mouse button, you select it. By double-clicking, you open the editing dialog of the object. You can use this functionality not only for the graphic objects in the workspace, but also for the object entries in the navigator.
If you hold down the Ctrl key, you can select several objects one by one by clicking. A plus symbol is shown at the mouse pointer. If you hold down the Shift key, however, you can remove an object from the selection. A minus symbol appears at the mouse pointer.
Right mouse button
If you click an object with the right mouse button, you open its shortcut menu. It provides you with object-related commands and functions (see image Shortcut menu of a node). Shortcut menus are available not only in the graphic, but also in the navigator and in the tables.
With the right mouse button pressed, you can draw a zoom window to enlarge a specific area. This corresponds to 'Zoom with Window' from RSTAB 8.
Scroll wheel
If you turn the mouse scroll wheel, you enlarge or reduce the displayed model. The current mouse pointer position serves as the center of the zoom area. Incidentally, this also works with the "touchpad" by moving two fingers apart or together, or moving two adjacent fingers up or down.
With the scroll wheel pressed, you can move the display of the model. If you additionally hold down the Ctrl key, you can rotate the view. Rotating is also possible with the scroll wheel and the right mouse button pressed.
ViewCube
In the upper right of the workspace, you see a cube, the so-called ViewCube. If you click on the cube or rotate it (hold down the left mouse button and move the mouse pointer), you can control the view.

The functions in the menu View → Select View and the assigned buttons in the toolbar allow you to quickly switch between the standard views.
The buttons are assigned to the following functions:

Keyboard Shortcuts
You can also control the graphic using the keyboard. The shortcut commands are stored in the 'Customize' dialog, which you can open via the menu View → Customize Menus and Toolbars. Select the View category there.
To assign a keyboard shortcut individually, double-click the command. In the 'Set Keyboard Shortcut' dialog, you can then define the key combination.
The default keyboard shortcuts can be restored with the button
.
Rendering
There are several options for displaying the model graphically. You can quickly switch between three basic display types via the list button.
The functions of the buttons are as follows:
