Once you activate the concrete design, additional concrete design settings become available in "Edit Section" dialog box for massive cross-sections. The general description of this dialog box can be found in Chapter Sections of the RFEM manual.
In the "Main" tab, select the Advanced time-dependent properties of concrete check box.
In the "Edit Section" dialog box, the "Advanced Time-Dependent Properties of Concrete" tab is added.
Advanced Time-Dependent Properties of Concrete
The concept of this tab mostly corresponds to that of the material, where you have specified the entries for creep and shrinkage (see Chapter Material Parameters). Furthermore, you can specify the "Age of concrete at the end of hardening" and "Age of concrete age at loading", depending on the cross-section. If there is a "user-defined exposure" of the cross-section, select the corresponding check box, and then define the section circumference exposed to drying and the notional size of the member.
You can also use this tab to replace the basic values of the creep coefficient and the shrinkage value from the material properties by "User-defined basic values".
