In the Surfaces tab of the "Strength Configurations" dialog box, you can make basic settings for the strength design of surfaces.

Important

The specifications of a strength configuration apply to all surfaces with this configuration assigned. If no strength configuration is assigned to a surface in the Objects to Design list, no strength design is performed for this.

The "Design Parameters" are divided into several categories where you can make your adjustments.

Important

For the structural components subjected to compression, such as walls, the optimization of design internal forces may lead to non-designable situations due to the failure of the concrete compression strut. Therefore, the optimization for the "compression-compression" load situations is not recommended. Create a new configuration for walls, where "No optimization of design internal forces" is carried out.
